Introduction of Exhibition Details
① Ophthalmology Online Medical Examination Platform (Welfare Service for Companies)
Service Overview
The "Ophthalmology Online Medical Examination Platform" provides an environment where employees can receive medical examinations by specialists with peace of mind while reducing the hassle of traveling to hospital visits.
・Consultations with ophthalmologists are available via smartphone or PC.
・Prescriptions and medicine are delivered to your home or office after the consultation.
・Covers common eye symptoms such as hay fever, dry eye, and eye strain.
Features as a Welfare Service
・Low-cost implementation: Available with no initial fees, monthly fees, or contract periods.
・Secure design with employee privacy in mind.
・Rapid start of treatment: Prescriptions and medication are delivered promptly after the consultation.
・Covers a wide range of symptoms: Hay fever, dry eye, eye strain, etc.
・Enhanced health support: Health seminars for employees can also be conducted.
Benefits of Implementation
Promoting Health and Productivity Management: Supports employee health maintenance and contributes to productivity improvement.
Equitable Access to Healthcare: Ensures equal opportunities for medical examinations even for busy employees or those working in remote areas.
Creating a Fulfilling Workplace: Increases employee satisfaction through advanced welfare programs, which is also effective for recruitment and retention.
◆Relationship with In-person Consultations
This platform (welfare service for companies) does not replace in-person consultations, but rather plays an auxiliary role. If an in-person consultation is deemed necessary as a result of the medical examination, we will support the patient through issuing referral letters so that they can promptly visit an appropriate medical institution. By utilizing online medical examinations, we establish an environment where patients can quickly proceed to appropriate treatments.
② "Dry Eye Checker", a smartphone app for assisting dry eye diagnosis that easily evaluates dry eye conditions using a smartphone (unapproved in Japan)
The Dry Eye Checker is a smartphone application capable of assisting in dry eye diagnosis by measuring maximum blink interval and entering a simple questionnaire on a smartphone.
We are developing this app with the aim of commercializing it as ophthalmology's first Software as a Medical Device (SaMD).
Key Features
- Blink detection using the smartphone camera (measurement of maximum blink interval)
- Recording of subjective symptoms through a dry eye disease-specific questionnaire
- Assistance in dry eye diagnosis based on the data
*The Dry Eye Checker is currently under development; a prototype is showcased at this exhibition.
